Welcome to Nature InCorporate
First Biodiversity Monitoring System focusing on business, industrial and
commercial premises in the EU.
What Is Nature InCorporate?
Biodiversity-oriented premises are sites that not only serve business or industrial purposes but also provide space for nature to thrive. Nature InCorporate is a self-assessment monitoring platform designed to help companies evaluate and improve biodiversity on their premises. It focuses on business, industrial, and commercial sites, supporting ecological transformation from grey to green. The platform guides users through three key areas:
Biodiversity Area
Assess the habitats and ecological value your site creates.
Social Area
Understand how staff, visitors and the publlic perceive and engage with nature on-site.
Corporate Area
Evaluate how biodiversity is embedded in company policies and management.
Nature InCorporate offers an all in one intuitive online environment. You can see the current status of biodiversity on your sites, track changes over time and compare your progress between sites.

Your Benefits
Simple Self-Assessment
You can enter your data directly into the platform, no expert knowledge is needed at the beginning. The more advanced your assessment becomes, the more expertise and detail can be added.
Automated Reporting
Receive site-specific and company-wide reports summarizing ecological, social, and corporate aspects.
Strategic Insights
Identify strengths, gaps, and opportunities for biodiversity action.
Designed for Large Property Portfolios
Nature InCorporate is especially valuable for companies managing multiple sites:
- bi-check Site Reports: provide concise summaries of the biodiversity performance at individual sites, covering not only the ecological quality of green spaces but also social and corporate aspects. Each report compares the baseline year (the first year of assessment), the current year, and the previous year, clearly illustrating progress and developments over time.
- bi-check Company Report: aggregate and compare the results from all assessed sites, highlighting which locations have implemented specific measures, identifying the most popular activities, and presenting overall performance trends compared to the previous year. This enables benchmarking across sites and supports strategic decision-making at the corporate level.
Supporting Environmental and Sustainability Frameworks
Nature InCorporate provides structured, site-specific data that can be used to support various environmental and sustainability frameworks. It helps companies:
Track and document biodiversity-related improvements for EMAS and ISO 14001.
Generate input for sustainability disclosures, including biodiversity aspects under CSRD and ESRS E4.
Demonstrate alignment with EU Taxonomy objectives, such as biodiversity protection and restoration.
While Nature InCorporate is not a certification tool, it complements these frameworks by offering a practical way to monitor, evaluate, and communicate biodiversity performance — particularly across multiple sites.

The first version of Nature Incorporate was created as a part of the EU LIFE project BooGI-BOP and the further development continues within the programme "Unternehmen Biologische Vielfalt (UBi)".

LIFE BooGI-BOP project
Behind the abbreviation BooGI-BOP stands Boosting Urban Green Infrastructure through Biodiversity-Oriented Design of Business Premises. The project LIFE BooGI-BOP is supported by seven European partners from Austria, Germany, Slovakia and Spain and promotes the design of business and industrial zones to improve biodiversity.
Biodiversity-Oriented Premises (BOP) is a practical approach that contributes to the creation of biotope corridors and green urban infrastructure - especially in urban and peri-urban areas in densely populated European regions, which also improves the well-being of individuals and society. On the BooGI-BOP website you will find guidelines, toolkits and positive example of biodiversity-oriented premises.
The project EU LIFE BooGI-BOP (LIFE17 GIE/DE/000466) was funded by EU LIFE, the European Union’s funding instrument for the environment and climate action.
Unternehmen Biologische Vielfalt – UBi
The project "Unternehmen Biologische Vielfalt -UBi" is a dialogue and action platform initiated by the Federal Ministry for the Environment in 2013 to promote exchange and cooperation between business, ministries and NGOs to contribute to stop biodiversity loss. The focus is on promoting action for biodiversity in the industry and the service sector. "Unternehmen Biologische Viefalt - UBi" supports companies to initiate and improve biodiversity management and to respond to new legal requirements of the European Commission and on national level. The platform contributes to the implementation of the EU Biodiversity Strategy 2030 and the corresponding national strategies.
Since November 2021, the UBi project is funded by the German Federal Programme on Biological Diversity (Federal Agency for Nature Conservation with funds from the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Nuclear Safety and Consumer Protection). The partners of "Unternehmen Biologische Vielfalt" are the organisations 'Biodiversity in Good Company', Lake Constance Foundation, Collaborating Centre on Sustainable Consumption and Production (CSCP), DIHK Service GmbH and Global Nature Fund.
